The traditional Finnish dances resume
the 15th of April 2026
Pavi - A traditional Finnish dancing hall accessible directly from the city center of Helsinki
The traditional Finnish dancing hall of Pavi is located in Itä-Hakkila, Vantaa. Our Dancing Hall turned 60-years-old in the year 2025.
Pavi is located only 18 kilometers from the city center and can be easily reached from the main railwaystation of Helsinki. We have free parking space for 400 cars and a buss stop named “Pavi” can be found on the same street. You can see the full guide on how to come to us in our contact us-page.
We are open from the middle of April to the middle of October, the best dancing season in Finland. We have a wide variety of musical groups from Finnish legends to the best newcomers of the scene. You can get to know the dancing culture and etiquette on our frequently asked questions.
Pavi encourages you to try dancing as a part of a memorable trip to Finland. No prior knowledge of the steps is needed - we all have started this hobby from 0! For the full experience you can join our free dancing lessons.
We welcome you to join us on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays to experience a part of the Finnish intangible cultural heritage in an authentic Finnish dancing hall. In the best summer times from June to August we also host day dances on Tuesdays. You are also welcome to join our dancing lessons which are hosted in Finnish. Dancing lessons before the actual event are included in the ticket price. The bands and lessons can be found from our event calendar.
See you at Pavi!
